Title: Nice solar system creation simulator
Post by: smjjames on February 05, 2012, 12:13:09 PM
Hey guys, I found this on Kongregate, but it's actually pretty good, ike US, it's a gravity simulator. It even uses Unity3D, which is what I think Dan may be using in US3. Anyways, it's neat to play around with and it shows a possible method via which we could simulate accretion in US3.

I initially had a whole slew of planets close in, but they got eaten by what I think may be now a superearth (I have no idea how to translate teragrams into earth masses...), which is in a sun-scorching orbit. And just a min ago, another one appeared, it's in a highly eccentric orbit as well though, a long one at that.

Right now I'm just waiting for the particle count to go down as things collide/get tossed out....

Edit2: That sun-diving one finally actually dived into the star....
