Title: Chronic bug here
Post by: gabriel.dac on March 27, 2014, 10:06:06 AM
I've been having this problem for quite a long time but I didn't want to talk about it because I had hope it would be gone after some time. The problem is that I've been having several graphic glitches. The most notable example is that all stars are black. I'm posting the same screenshot I had posted in my Alpha 5 screenshots thread.

This happens only in my PC. It doesn't happen on my notebook, however.

Ooh... That looks bad. I think it will be fixed soon, though.   ;)

it is funny you posted in every new thread in this forum but you didn't add nothing of value in any of them

Maybe hes just looking to increase post count? Other than that first things first all the basics, are you drivers up to date? Are you running beta drivers perhaps? Was this in all the alphas or just the latest or are you on the latest (Alpha 6)

This started happening while I was using the previous Alpha (it didn't start that way).

I'm pretty sure the problem is my computer, not the game. I hope so, at least

Excuse me? I try to help, and no, I am not trying to increase post count. Just trying to help...

Also, sometimes u r as helpful as u think I am sometimes. I defended Withehole against your oppression against his weak English and strong Italian.

No, you weren't trying to help. Your post was a typical post when someone has nothing to say and forces himself to post in a thread.

I'd like Dan to see this thread, so...bump

Dan will probably notice sooner or later  ;D also, that bug may be caused by your graphics drivers. make sure you have the latest version of DirectX.

What Xriqxa said is fine so why give them grief about it? Please stop being so critical of others when it doesn't matter.

No, you weren't trying to help.

Again... you're coming across as really judgmental, and unnecessarily so.

When Xriqxa said: "Ooh... That looks bad. I think it will be fixed soon, though.   ;)"

A more useful and much nicer reply would be: "Are you having this problem too?" OR "I hope so... thanks for acknowledging this bug."

Is the star always black even when you're closer to it? Could you post a screenshot of that?
And what kind of graphics card do you have in your desktop?

Yes, the star is always black. When I'm close to it, it looks like it is eclipsed. I can see the flares, however. Also, the graphics of the planets are messed up.

I don't know what information you need exaclty, so I'll paste all I can find.

Windows XP Professional (not original)
Service Pack 3
Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU
E2200 @ 2.20GHz
2,99 GB of RAM

I hope that's it.

Oh, and sorry, Xriqxa. I just can't be polite sometimes.

Well, now that you've apologized, the water has cooled down some. Also, sometimes I'm just like you.

Listen Gabriel, you have been noticeably blunt to the other forumers here. I would appreciate if you TRY to not be harsh to the people here, we are just simply wanting to contribute and express our thoughts here. This should be a friendly area, not an area with people who are being rejected or criticized. If you have something nasty or messed up to say, keep it behind your lips, okay?

Seems like hypocracy... Just send him a PM
