lol it'd be pretty amusing.
But no.

Because the comic shows that. People know the statistic, so they use that to justify not being careful. So if Fiah boards the plane, sees bullet holes in a window, and doesn't report it because he's read the fact "one in 30 million people die of plane crashes" then it would apply. However, thats very likely at all
