Things that are very improbable and uncommon happen every day, and if you don't look for them you'll miss them. For example, today my teacher passed back papers randomly and the same person got it first in a 17-person class, so that had a 1/289 chance of happening. Seems pretty low to me. Something else is that someone is likely to win the powerball either today or tomorrow even though the chances of winning are astronomically low, somewhere around 1 in 100 million.

i would say there's a fair chance the randomly passed back papers weren't really completely random, and biased in favor of the first person.

how to job: if they promise you an interview, call them 12-20 times per day reminding them of your interview
if they do not give you the interview by the promised date, then call them 50 times that day about your interview

if you get to an interview, and are promised the job and told to start on a future date, call them 10 times a day affirming when your work schedule begins. just before the scheduled time, call them upwards of a hundred times to affirm that you are hired and should begin working. should you arrive and they still deny you work, then you should immediately go home and call them as much as possible for the next month, explaining why it is a bad idea that they didn't hire you. if you continue to show up and are working, and told you are working, but when the first promised paycheck date passes you receive no paycheck, call them 5 to 10 times a day talking about their failure to compensate you for the pay.
