Speaking of comets, asteroids, and planets\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A comet, an asteroid, and a hypothetical planet walk into the Solar System. The hypothetical planet says to the comet, \u201cWhy so green?\u201d The comet says, \u201cIt\u2019s the radiation from the Sun evaporating the carbon on my surface. You\u2019d know that if you were as close to the Sun as people thought you were.\u201d The hypothetical planet turns red with anger and ceases to exist. That\u2019s just under half the length of the United States! Mercury\u2019s orbit was <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tests_of_general_relativity#Perihelion_precession_of_Mercury\">observed to wobble<\/a> slightly more than predicted, and Vulcan was hypothesized to explain this.
