omg guys i just figured out two dimensional time
« on: March 06, 2013, 12:27:09 AM »
ok so in two dimensional time, different parts of the universe are moving forward at different rates. eventually, there are small regions where there is hyperspeed time (like galaxies) and massive regions of slow time (like voids)

inb4 i'm completely wrong

./darvince's tired ramblings

Can display that on two axes?

Your conception is problably wrong.
Following your lojik the 3 dimension space (from a 2 dimensional view) would be like (idk, but wrong :P)

It possibly like a space where the time can go forward and backward.
Or even like the dimension scheme. So, on it they have Future & "Past", and X & "Y" (like a "vertical line for time")

"Past" cause they probably wont have this concept (we dont have a concept for "front horizontal" and "back horizontal", only horizontal).

I hope that everyone can understand what I mean. :P

Well, I guess than time moving backwards would be like antimatter.

yeah, I like most of the other concept of Past-future and X-Y.

If time was two dimensional in our universe we are travelling along a line that we cannot diverge from, one direction of the line is future, exactly pi radians in the other direction would be the past, and the universe's current time is just a point.

Any n properties, especially dimensions (spatial or not) can be represented in space on axes.

So two dimensional time would mean that a universe could move along an infinite number of lines (timelines) that intersect infinitely

well the world would be in any timespan from like 6000 AD to 680000 BC

normally skipping the last 2 sentense of the post will save time, and will still make sence. not in this case
