assuming 10,000 tons and also assuming 0.1 thrust/weight ratio and also assuming fission fragment fusion generated electricity then the aircraft carrier will consume 1 kilogram of uranium fuel per second, generating over 100 megajoules of energy per second. If 20% the mass of the aircraft carrier is devoted to fuel the aircraft carrier will be able to fly two million seconds = 12 days at a speed of about 200 m/s which means about 200,000 kms. When it is not flying it will float on the surface of the ocean and be able to quickly take off and evacuate.

weight distribution:
1000 tons: fuel
200 tons: nuclear reactors and backup reactors
4000 tons: aircraft
500 tons: turboshaft engines
1300 tons: aircraft fuel
1000 tons: defense systems

suggestions or ideas?

maybe twice as much as a typical supercarrier, even though it is slightly smaller. It's worth it though, being able to move across half the surface of the earth in about 17 hours.

oh and they cruise at a height of only about 100m above sea level to take advantage of the ground elevating effect, although they can temporarily rise above that in emergencies

@fiahowl yeah probably but the us; which is like the largest defense country ever (they spent like 70% of gov budget on defense at one time), only has 11? supercarriers, so i doubt more than 5 or 6 of these would be built even in the largest superpower.

omg someone needs to come up with a better prefix than just super.

Might want to add gyrostabilizers or otherwise some method to keep the flight deck level and not tilt too much if there are aircraft on the top deck.

Now, I know they can easily just stow the aircraft inside when they are not in use, but the flying aircraft carrier will have to be as level as possible when there are planes taking off/landing or taxing on the flight deck.

maybe, but ideally there might not be an 'inside' because that would only add more weight. there could just be a flight deck.

ok if you want people for whatever crazy reason have them wear seat belts like you normally do when you ride a commercial jet. (although you'll probably be able to walk around fine without aid, because the aircraft carrier won't exactly be manuverable).
