Guidelines
1. You can add land, a nation you own, or both
2. You can only add other people's nations or change them if you get their permission
3. Anyway can change the land, but have a reason if you're doing more than just adding on so that you can fit a nation.
4. No trolling, like making 1 pixel islands all over the map, or half the map, etc.
5. Borders are 2 pixels thick. Unless anyone has a better idea.
6. Keep your nations a resonable size

Kallisto: ~136k people/pixel

Maybe it would help if people decided some rules which the entire community could agree on before declaring maps community maps, otherwise it is unlikely that they will end up being actual community maps, as we've seen countless times in the past.

collaborative doesn't mean everyone needs to do something or recognize it. collaborative means 'working together', so this map is already collaborative.

It's not even community, as some nations aren't going to be on here, it is, as kipz mentioned, collaborative.

It was more directed at the other map topic, but it really doesn't matter whether it's community, collaborative or whatever, I just think don't see the point in continuing to make different maps of our NationStates. I like the idea of having one community map though, we just need to agree on some rules for it.

The one that has done that the best imo, thus far, is Fiah's topic.

Except we have the Kallisto issue. Maybe instead of Fiah forcing Kallisto to be somewhere we solve it as a community?

My problem with it is mainly:
1) If you put all the effort you put into multiple maps into a single one instead, that single one could be a lot better.
2) There aren't multiple maps of France or Germany with completely different shapes. :I I know they could be colonies on alternate planets etc., but it still doesn't really make sense to me to have all these different NS maps. I want to have a single, official map of Redbow and Blaist Blaland, so I can put on cities etc. which can persist on the map. This is why I put the original Redbow shape from Darvince's map directly into this and Fiah's map, I don't want to have to make a new one for the Factbook and rethink all sorts of things for the geography.

A lot of these things don't work well without official/standard maps.
