Well, i dont like of ns stats because
NS stats aren't really realistic or reflecting how he wants his country to be
xD
But you can make it official if everyone wants.

Ok I think I developed a better formula. How does this look?

Maybe it is unnecessarily complex. I think you could get rid of some of the x^4 x^3 and x^2 parts and still make it look okay.

I think that's what it was.

Bla, couldn't you get that same shape from just a cubic function?

also bla, the annual growth formula is wrong. it shud simply be the daily growth times 365.2425

That's what I was thinking. Well if it's only third power then it won't be as steep in the end. That's why I wanted to keep the fifth power and remove some of the lower powers.

Yes you could make it linear, but I think the middle ranges of the NS economies should be around +/- 5% growth pr. year. The extremes should be more uncommon imo.

also bla, the annual growth formula is wrong. it shud simply be the daily growth times 365.2425
No Darvince, because if 100 grows by 10% for one day, it becomes 110. What if it grows by 10% the next day?
The next day it would grow by 10% of 110, which would be 11, so after two days, it's 121.

See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Exponential_growth

The formula ends up being

2x^3 is steeper than x^3, increase the co-efficient.

Ok I cubified the function and now (green) it looks pretty much like the old one (red), just much more simple, but sadly not as steep near the ends.

2x^3 is steeper than x^3, increase the co-efficient.
Yes, but if it's high, the graph will look like an S, and it must not decrease while going from 0 to 100. So they have to be very low.

Ok, I changed the cubic formula a bit and decided to use it.

Updates with the new formula and lots of new nations.

Kol this must be a new one.

The Issue

After the kidnapping, rape, and murder of a young blond girl made national headlines in Blaist Blaland, the concerned parenting organization Mothers Against Youth Doing Stupid Stuff (MAYDSS) has raised concerns over the use of social networking sites by the nation's teens.

The Debate

"Teens should not be allowed to use social networking!" cries the girl's mother, Sashona Anderson. "Some creep added my little darling as a 'friend' on that awful website, and he used it to get all of her personal information and track her down! Obviously, the only sane course of action is to ban all legal minors from using social networking sites! And don't just stop at social networks: block everything else that MAYDSS doesn't approve of!"

"Why that's utterly preposterous!" shouts Luke Zuckermann, founder of MyFace, a popular social networking site. "You can't restrict people like that! Oh, sure, today it's keeping teens from lining my wa- I mean - accessing my website, but tomorrow it's keeping everyone from anywhere the government doesn't like! I say free up the web, and get rid of restrictions!"

"You know, there's always a compromise," says local pervert Freddy Li while watching you from a nearby tree. "As I see it, the best way to keep both sides of the argument happy is to remove all restrictions on what adults can view and increase restrictions on minors. But at the same time, lower the age of majority by a lot. What could possibly go wrong?"

"What could possibly go wrong, you ask?" panics your paranoid cousin, Roger Brown. "On the internet, nobody knows your actual age. It's a haven for malicious anonymity! Besides, children aren't the only people at risk on the internet. It's full of stalker-rapists and bomb-makers and viruses and sick, depraved porn. We're better off without it."

Yes. Economic "freedom" went from low to moderate.

The Issue

Several musicians have recently produced songs in which "Violet" sings silly and offensive things, causing outcries of horror from the Order of Violet.

The Debate

"THIS IS BLASPHEMY!" shouts May King, Grand High Poobah of the Order of Violet. "Our holy scriptures specifically forbid any portrayal of our prophet's most holy voice. We cannot permit people to slander and mock our prophet and insult all of us. These people are simply doing this to see if we are extremists. Death to the blasphemers!" xD

Speaking anonymously and from hiding, one of the musicians says, "It was just meant to be a joke! I never thought that they'd take it so seriously. I just wanted to give them a little ribbing like I do the other major religions of Pastafarianism and Frisbeetarianism." Pete Frederickson glances over their shoulder to see if anyone is watching, "Please don't try to figure out who I am. I'm scared for my safety. The government should protect my freedom to insult whomever I want. Freedom of speech should hold nothing sacred, not even God."

"Freedom of speech is important, but so is freedom of religion. Surely we can strike some sort of balance?" says Ivan Chandra, chief spokesperson for the TLOTRRSOC (the The Land of the Red Rainbow Society of Compromisers). "Freedom of speech comes with a responsibility. People must avoid anything that insults another's religion, and if they aren't willing to do it themselves, the government must enforce it." D:

"His Holiness, the Grand High Poobah of Violet, has the right idea, but the wrong religion," says Heather Peters, the Prelate of Primary Public Relations for the fanatical organization The Land of the Red Rainbow's Concerned Citizens for Our God. "This nation needs an official religion, and not support the Godless heathens who worship the idolatrous Violet. Appoint me as your spiritual adviser an I'll ensure that all people worship God in the correct way."

"They've got it all wrong. Freedom of speech isn't the problem, religion is!" shouts Samuel Sikkel, at a local AA (Atheists Anonymous) meeting. "If religion were outlawed, this problem would solve itself. Just send them in for medical treatment. After all, anyone who believes in some big invisible dude who can do anything is clearly nuts."

This could very well be an US news headline.

Economic Collapse Looms!
The Issue

Big business, fed up with over-regulation in Kaeshar, are heading offshore in ever-increasing numbers.
The Debate

"Good riddance!" says noted environmentalist William James. "Sniff that air! It's never been so clean! At last, our society is freeing itself from the consumer death-trap! I say it's time to take the final step and outlaw capitalism once and for all!"

"This is a catastrophe waiting to happen," says the Chamber of Commerce. "Think of the consequences! Without big business, where do the jobs come from? Where do we get our medicine? Our cars? Our latest fashions? There are dozens of useless regulations the government could abolish today to make life easier for commerce, and it's high time they did."

Of course though, Bla would go for abolishing capitalism, but to me, the issue is outsourcing (as opposed to offshoring).

I don't know which one to choose.... maybe flip a coin for it.....

Edit: Flipped a virtual quarter (I could have flipped a real coin, but meh, lazy, lol), and came up heads, so, first option.

Just so you know, the first option will impact your economy negatively, and the second one will make it go up, according to the CIL Economic Guide.

https://docs.google.com/document/d/1kVvk-F8KYaoWMCXELe5T8WMewWCWF_tKGAjem-ZYqRg/edit?hl=en&pli=1

But yes, I'd go with the first option if my economy had stabilized at 100. Idk if I would currently. Most likely I would dismiss it and wait until my economy stabilizes at 100.
