We need a topic for the most hilarious, "fair and balanced" Faux News videos.

I'll start.

"politically correct"

hahahaha

It's funny because politics aren't.

And who the fuck cares if it's a "Christmas tree" or not. Big deal. Deal with it, he said what he said, it's over and done. It's a blue spruce tree. That's technically correct.

If you said that to my dad, he'd disagree. He disagrees with everything it seems. :P

I think it's funny that he immediately makes it an issue over political correctness. That way he can attack political correctness instead of actually saying anything about the history of the holidays, which predate Christianity. It's more like historical correctness.

A similar topic was in this post on my favorite blog:

I looked at the picture. I looked read the first few sentences. I believe that we shouldn't make Christmas not religious. People are free to have their own views and do whatever, besides: It already isn't really religious anymore. It's just a time to glorify corporations by buying their products.

Hmm, well, the original tradition wasn't religious, at least not Christian (most of what was religion then is myth today). Today many people certainly see it as very Christian, and from my experience most people are completely ignorant of its history. People think the tradition was actually established to celebrate the birth of Jesus. I think it's sad that people are so misinformed, and that religious people use it to promote Christianity.

Also, I don't recommend reading only the first few sentences of the blog post. It would probably be better not to read it at all, if you don't want to/don't have time to read it all. It will probably give you the wrong image of the issue it discusses.

It's just a time to glorify corporations by buying their products.
It is true that the corporations are probably very happy about the yule.
I've considered to either refuse to receive presents or to give all the money gifts I might get (or some high percentage) to charity. In the first case I would probably be ignored.
Hm.

I think I'll just call it yule. It's jul in Danish anyway. And I will rage on anyone who refuses to recognize my tree as a yuletree/juletræ!

Some governor calls a tree donated by some other person a holiday tree, but the person who donated it really wants it to be called a CHRISTMAS tree. So he gets free advertising for his CHRISTMAS tree farm on Faux News.

Because it is very important to the donator that people do not forget the Christian hijacking of the yule origin of the holiday.

Fox is possibly the worst network in America.  And Rupert Murdoch and Roger Ailes are scum, along with anyone else who participates in that propaganda machine.

There was a brief mention about that on CNN a couple days ago (or last week?), but didn't go into much detail.

I used to watch both Fox and CNN to get both sides, but the arroganceness of them (among other things) was an eventual turnoff, but yea I don't like Fox either. They even have a 'fake news' thing, pfft.......

Well they don't represent all Christians, that would be an unfair generalization.
