Little suns not possible
« on: October 03, 2011, 02:01:28 PM »
I tried to create a system with a star with a little mass, but the star becomes a black hole (all black)...

For example :

The star hasn't luminosity and temperature and become all black. Is it possible to correct this? The problem is for the stars with a mass inferior at 94 jupiters.

it doesn't turn black ( i think)
but rather it stops emmiting light because the mass is too low to continue fusion.

Have you tried changing the color from the color picker? I can't show where it is, but it's available somewhere in the box which opens when you click on the body.

If the star is smaller than ~94 jupiter masses it will stop emitting light (but you can turn this back on in the object's properties along with changing its color).

Please post again if you're still having trouble.

I don't understand this solar system.
http://exoplanet.hanno-rein.de/system.php?id=FU+Tau+b

If the star is M7, a heat over 3000K, but hasn't the critical mass, also it isn't emiting light, but with its temperature and if we discovered this solar system, it produces light.
It's not a question for the game, but for my culture :s.

Thank you.

PS : I hope that you understand.
