I also like idea number 2 and 4 for the fighting.
I think it sounds hard to make 4 work though. Lots of tnt means the zone between the trenches probably ends up being a very steep crater.

ok so darvince and i made this village. it took us from 3 am to 7 am (my time). ~~since darvince was being lame and didn't give it a name, i'm simply going to refer to it as auschwitz~~.

specs:
800 doors
1500 farmland
280 population cap
400 iron blocks used (cause why not)

Zombie siege?

Edit: Nvm looking at siege mechanics. Two things, 1) player must be basically within the village and 2) they don't spawn on farmland so in your village only the roof could've been a vaild spawnpoint

eh it used to happen at a really high rate, i put some glass blocks in and it rarely happens now. it's due to golems jumping. if we want to stop it completely, we can put a glass roof over the whole place
