Flattening a nether fortress so it's easy to spawn and kill mobs. There will be 4 beacons with speed, strength, regen and resistance so you can one shot all the mobs and be invincible. With a decent slabbed perimeter the spawns should be overwhelming.

hmm, no end pillars. if the update removes all end pillars can we mine as much before sponge or whatever we use changes it

I don't think it would remove end pillars from our world. However, it might not generate a new End so world editing might be needed, but I don't know the details yet. We could probably let it generate a new end and then I could copy the old End somewhere away from the new one, since the End is a very empty dimension anyway, as one option. There shouldn't be any need to start mining the old pillars at least.

The blocks of 6 different colors I first thought should be colored clay, but there's no real cyan clay. Then colored wool, but cyan is also a bit ugly and the texture doesn't really fit with building stuff. I've thought of using redstone, gold, lime clay, diamond, lapis and purple clay instead, even though that'd take 90 diamonds... But they have to be spent on something so well. The surrounding blocks are glowstone.

if you're fine with not doing a rainbow just alternate two colors or something, or do red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple. that gathers more of the hue variance of the spectrum anyway (at least imo, maybe there's some scientific way to define that?)

Obsidian is kind of purple but too close to black
