While kip works on New Years 2014, research has begun on Aahrus' 2015 new years bid.

I'm planning something absolutely amazing, and it's going to take nearly a year to get it all together

First problem has already happened though, Minecraft does not like rendering more than 10 fireworks at once without very precise timing, something not really possible on Blacraft with all the lag. Rip my dreams of an incredible finale (< fun fact I was there; also the night my at-the-time 4 year old sister developed a fear of loud noises that still persists to today)

Also I'll need a ton of time to get all the gunpowder and string for the hundreds of dispensers...

Not to mention how my test world keeps crashing for no apparent reason, something I'll have to look into before actually trying this on Blacraft

ps bla if we could do the voting for this years location early that would be great so I dont waste a ton of time and not get it

minecraft only shows 4000 particles if i'm interpreting you correctly. that's about 10 large balls or a single large ball trail.

In other news, I've checked the Dynmap configuration file and compared it to a backup from September and a lot of settings that appeared to be related to rendering interval and such were different. I have no idea how they ended up being different. But anyway they are restored to the values from before the TPPI world so Dynmap should again be as fast with updating as before.
