I've seen it too.. It happens when the time step is very high too ==> It seems that the more you are near a star the less the time step can be big...
However it looks like a texture or a mesh problem (the simulation go on)

Thanks for letting me know about this problem. It looks like it might be a bad trail.
If it happens again please let me know if clearing/deleting all of the trails make it go away? (Press Ctrl+T)

Looking at the video on youtube i've understood that it is another thing... My problem is similar, but it's not the same... I would post some screenshots in another Topic

not very. I can make a "repeatable test case" like you said in a post before. It happens WHENEVER I do this EXACT thing.

It's also possible that this is a video card issue or some other problem related to your specific hardware. (Which means I may never see it.)
Let me know if you have any more information on this problem.

I didn't.
I had over 1000 views a day, 300+ videos, and some (probably) jealous jerk came and hacked me. I deleted that account, and I had to create a new account.

How were you hacked? Couldn't you just change the password?

I tried, 3 times. They still got me. They also got me once on my new account, but haven't bothered me ever since.
