i tried out cubic chunks in 1.7.3
it's awesome because the height limit can be practically unlimited without any lag (no need to load 500 high block chunks)

Looks like a hybrid between cubic chunks and stupid chunks... Looks like a massive improvement though, twice as much height for building and still better performance if you don't build anything.

That robot looks pretty cool, also looks old with that moss on it.

It'd be even cooler if we could make robots ourselves (maybe without the ugly nose).

Edit: Just looked on the wiki and they are technically called Iron Golems (robots, what else?) and can apparently be 'crafted' somehow.

Hey guys, I was looking at the renewable resources page and it says that as of 12w06a (current or latest is 12w08a) zombies will drop iron, which means that we will have a bounty of iron with zombies.

Also, water is suppoused to be renewable as of 12w06a as well, although I'm not sure if that simply means we can take from running water as well. Lava isn't renewable just yet, which would be nice for smelting purposes...

I'm just saying what the page here says since I did a search for 12w06a and the page for water came up. Whoever edited that could be referring to the bucket being renewable since normally the bucket gets consumed when you use a lava bucket in a forge. However, thats the only case that I know of in which the buckets get consumed.

Still though, the renewable iron will spark an industrial age, sort of. Smiley
