Okay... so I have a house with lights... ummmm I heard a growl I've never heard before... to my knowledge... That's a creeper? I also hear these slurping ish sounds... those are spiders right? And since my house has lights... they are attracted... right?

The growl is possibly a zombie, since creepers don't make noises, except when they are hurt or explode, hence the name 'creeper'. The hostile mobs are actually attracted to darkness, but if you light a grassy area, it is possible it might be a pig, sheep, cow, or a chicken.

I don't know lol... I put it on peaceful because I needed to craft something and I was waiting for oyur answer. I just lost another redstone due to only having a stone pickaxe right now. Can you believe it... I found a ONE BLOCK vein of iron... FAIL

I should do that more often. I'm usually preoccupied with finding minerals. I never knew there was a lake about 200 blocks from my house. Or a desert about 350... lol

My next project... Make a minecart subway to the lake, and build a house at one of the caves.
