We agree, it's certainly annoying, both seeing it and having to remove it. So of course we'd like it to go away, too. Unfortunately, we have standard security options already enabled and we haven't found any easy or non-annoying solution (ones that would be a pain in the neck to real people, as you said). It likely will be a bigger undertaking that involves upgrading the whole forum to something newer, which will require some free time.
