Light source [BUG]
« on: September 30, 2017, 06:56:30 PM »
My bodies aren't correctly illuminated by light sources. They are always illuminated from the same direction, irrespective of where the light source is actually located relative to their position. Before you suggest the obvious, setting Light to Auto or Realistic has no effect.

I think I have experienced the same issue. Objects aren't being illuminated correctly. This is my report.

Does it by any chance resemble this? There is a star in front of this planet and moon, but there is also a shadow there at the same time.

It seems similiar to me, albeit an issue with light not shadow. As an example, when the solar system loads, it is as though the sun doesn't register as a light source.

Do you have "Glows" tuned on in the video settings (I think)? If stars don't have the pope circle-gradient of light around them and the planets are lit by the "phantom sun" then that may be your problem. If its not though, then it is a bug.

Thanks, it's fixed now. I don't know how that got disabled.
