I only have 1 and it's totally fine considering how many other things you could spend money on such as an apartment, travel trip with a cute guy or charity I think I wouldn't want to spend it on a second monitor. But if you feel it'd be very useful, sure.

idk if your desk has room i'd probably do it it's helpful if yuou're d oing something with 2 windows or you can just have like skype/discord/task manager on one monitor and whatever you're doing on the main one

i spend like 13 hours a day on my computer and 2 monitors increase my productivity at least 10% and probably more like 30% so it's worth it to me

like i can forgo other luxuries but how else can i read one paper, while having another paper that the first paper references open, while having another window to type notes, and also chrome to look up unfamiliar maths

or write code in one file while having another code file opened to view library functions, and another window to compile and test my code and another window to view some reference code and another window to view the assignment instructions

also don't bother learning master theorem, because it's useless for building intuition and usually it's faster to work out complexities just by doing the math. also every one of your cs classes will not allow you to use it for those reasons i just listed. finally, there are a lot of recurrences that master theorem cannot solve

master theorem is like using a general formula to find the roots of a cubic polynomial instead of just factoring the cubic in terms of usefullness. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cubic_function#General_formula
