If you want to change Jupiter into a star, Jupiter turns black and emits no luminosity. It's a black star.  >:(

Sorry for the issue. I tried to reproduce this just now but I'm not seeing a black star.

How are you turning it into a star?

I add Jupiter into any empty sim and then increase its mass until it turns into a star. It looks like a normal yellow/orange star at this point.

I mean changing the mass from 1.00 jupiter to 1 sun without using the increase decrease option.

Ah, okay, I did not try it that way. Thanks for explaining.

When setting mass to 1 solar mass I see a black star, that's certainly a bug. I'll make a note of this on our bug list, but I'm not sure it will be fixed in time for our next release. Hopefully soon after.

In the meantime, you can increase the mass (instead of setting it to 1 sun) to keep it from breaking.

Thanks for reporting the issue!
