Hawking radiation

As some of you might know, a black hole decays slowly due to a process called hawking radiation.
it would be col, if that was added to the game (it wouldnt really be noticeabe on big black holes, but if they get smaller, the process speeds up exponentially, until there is a big explosion and the black hole will be torn apart)

i dont know, if that would change much in the game, but you can always be a Little fancy and add stuff like that just for having it in the game¨and knowing, that the game just got a bit more realistic ;)

The game would crash, and not only that, so would all computers.

A computer, even the most powerful supercomputers, cannot handle simulating Hawking Radiation, it would use up all its energy and memory, and the computer would die before the black hole starts to explode, then you'll be VERY disappointed that your computer broke, and then you'll fuss over a simulation that ruined the computer.

You would NOT want to do that to any computer or laptop, Hawking Radiation is too much.

Well it wouldn't have to be anything hyperrealistic. You could just make the black holes get smaller and smaller over time and then explode when they reach a certain threshold. Hardly anything gamebreaking, I'd imagine.

I thought Hawking Radiation was a very slow process.
Also, how do the astronomers know that hawking radiation actually shrinks black holes?

Yet US2 is still under development, and they're trying to make the program hyper realistic, so therefore, if Hawking Radiation were simulated, then it would be doom for all computers, it would take more than all the memory, CPU and RAM to emit even the tiniest bit of Hawking Radiation from a decaying Black Hole, and as the decaying goes on, then it could take up to 10-7 gigabytes of memory, and we don't have that much on even NASA's supercomputers, and the explosion of the black hole wouldn't even be witnessed because the computer would burst long before that even happened.
Plus, we don't know if Hawking Radiation exists, it's only a theory, we don't know anything about it.

I am not quite sure if you are joking or not...?
Obviously your computer will not get hurt and obviously you will not need insane memory sizes to work with this. Like you are not modelling the individual atoms in a planet, as it is moving and influenced by gravity, you would also not model each particle-anti particle pair as it pops up near the hole.


In case you were really being serious... if a computer is properly cooled, any however complex, calculation will at worst be slow. If it is not properly cooled it will get hot, crash and restart ready to serve you again.

The life cycle of a star is slow too, but that's in the game. Also, hawking radiation speeds up as a black hole gets smaller.

No one knows for sure if hawking radiation really does shrink black holes since we haven't ever really observed it. It's just our best theory for now.
