Star brightness

Is there a way to turn down the brightness of star?
When looking at the nearest hundred stars in chart view
the glare makes it impossible to see.

I tried sunglasses with no luck.

When you click on the star go to luminosity and turn it down.

No global setting for brightness?  I don't want to have to individually set each star.

The feature is broken. It is a known issue.
Settings>Video>Glows (on/off)
