Universe Sandbox modding/database

Hello,

Would it be possible to load stars' positions and other details (star type, spectrum ,etc) from a file into Universe Sandbox 2? And what would be the format - excel, plain text, maybe json?
Or maybe through Steam Workshop?

I have a database of stars (about 248.000) and planets (about 1.000) from various space missions and was wondering if I could export it to Universe Sandbox 2 and build a real map of known stars.
