Yes. might it be best to advise everyone to update/reinstalling .NET before taking a start up problem to the forum?

Reinstalling .NET will now be part of my 1st things to try arsenal, but I'd definitely like more than just 2 examples of this as a solution. Especially since it seems like the problem you and pagalzone had were ultimately different.

I'm having this problem. I have .NET Framework 4 now, which is the latest version of it right now i think. I open up USB and the loading screen comes up, but right after that it crashes. The only way I've been able to get it to work is if i restart the computer then start USB. If i exit out then start the program again it will crash...always. I also have the directx required for it. Mabye It's something with the video card? Should i send you information or logs from the folders?


I'd be very thankful if anyone could assist me with this.  Smiley

another note---version 2.0.8 was seemingly working fine. I updated to version 2.0.9 and thats when i think it started crashing on startup. And i haven't purchased the game yet, this is only the free version right now. I do plan on buying it...just wanted to try and fix this issue first.

That's an interesting problem.

I'd definitely like to look at the logs files both when it works and when it crashes.

1 - So restart your computer
2 - Run US2
3 - Open a simulation
4 - Let it run for a bit
5 - Press send Feedback
6 - Mention that you are 'rcrcrean13' and this is when it works.

Now:
1 - Run US2 again
2 - Wait for it to crash.
3 - What is the exact error message you get when it crashes?
4 - Open up this folder: (My Documents)\Universe Sandbox\Logs
5 - Email me those files and mention you are 'rcrcrean13' and this is when it crashes.

ok, i restarted my computer and when i start USB it will always crash DIRECTLY after the loading screen. I don't know if there is a way to show you the error message i got. It will not let me copy and paste anything. umm...if their is another way let me know. The error states---"Universe Sandbox has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience" It comes complete with a error report, but it is VERY long and i am unable to copy it.

I am very Appreciative of your support in this matter Smiley. And I just emailed you the logs.

Thanks for for the manual guideline.
I was having trouble with the Sandbox startup but now it is working just fine.
