[First project in US2] : Galaxy builder
« on: October 29, 2014, 12:18:46 PM »
In this project i am hosting, i will be building a galexy from scratch without useing any of the galexies included in US2, the first thing i need to know, however, is the name of the galexy, and the goal is to have all of the suns included with US2 have solar systems and have them in a galexy i build in my own image. This project is gonna be tricky, as US2 does not include hill spheres yet, and once its compleat, i will set up a download link, post suggestions for the project in this thred and if you want, try starting one yourself

Our Milky Way Galaxy has 300 billion stars; I think it would be a little more practical to make a star group instead.

Sorry if this makes me sound like a poopy or whatever, but I'm pretty sure you can't reply to the question "Is this a cool idea?" with the reply "Innovative".

I agree with Gordon. The galaxy that you are planning to make would be too small on the scale to even be labeled as a galaxy.

Ok, well, i guess ill try to get at least 50 of each star in there without crashing, and for 300 billion thats imposible without crashing, so thusly, 50 of each seems more resenable, and i will do it that way if posible

EDIT : Acully 50 of each would probably be very slow if not crashing, so lets try around 10 of each, and if you want more, 25 if i can

But then you'd have to remake the poll like:

What do you think of this idea?
-It's cool
-I don't like it
-I don't know
-It's innovative

Although I guess "it's innovative" would count as "it's cool"

Its pretty logic that universe sandbox could never process 300 billion stars or 300 billion particles, its a cool idea, but it wont be so realistic al all

I hope this project will be made !
Homewer it's impossible to create a real galaxy as it's too big, so a mini-mini-mini-galaxy would be better.

The definition of hypocrisy is to disapprove of one's behavior when you are doing the same. Obviously, the word you're looking for is "fascism".

But I'm not a fascist. I'm a kind person who is trying to read your actually good ideas but fails to do so, and is asking that you please correct your indecipherable language errors. I don't deserve to be punched.

If your teacher remarked that your spelling was bad, would you call them a hypocrite and then punch them?

Of course it's perfectly understandable for you; You're the one who wrote it.

Why should I? Why can't you? Even better, why not at least try to do it on your own?

To stay in topic, this is actually not the first project in US2...

Then what is the first project?
And why do you not understand very simple spelling mistakes
I'm lucky so far it hasn't detected any spelling mistakes :-\
to stay on topic, however, I do need suggestions for star systems in this galaxy, i haven't started making it because of that, and how far should it be from the central black hole (make it reasonable) And i will take the suggestion of making a star cluster, but i will alter it a bit by making it a globular cluster (basically a spherical star cluster orbiting a black hole) although again i will alter this by making it a flat one (for ease of working with it)

Well, I did have cancelled plans for a video series, and Xriqxa's Group Testing might be considered a project as well...

And your spelling mistakes aren't simple at all. Your texts are barely readable, let alone comprehensible. I don't want to sound like an ass, but it really looks like you're just writing this way "to look cool."

As for globular clusters... you'd need them really far away from the black hole for them not to rip apart.
