This is a known issue when a planet is running climate and undergoes an impact. What you see right there, is a placeholder implementation, until the improved handling of impacts is finished. It will work a lot better when it's done.

Er, duh?

im having the same problem but what happens to me is when i increase the time step to see the lava and everything cooling of,the earth temperature goes to like -240 C and remains an ocean full with ice islands impossible to melt,the temperature gets locked until i desactivate climate
