Beta 7 suggestion

since beta 7 may be the last beta, i think it would be awesome to see the biggest galaxy known to man in it, IC 1101, it is around 70 times the milky ways size and is elliptical.

Why not in US 2? Can't you wait 5 days!

IC 1101 has been added to the next release. It will be one of the galaxy presets in the New Body list of galaxies.

Cool. And Dan how did you do the galaxies? I mean it's shape, it looks real if zoomed out.

By the way, scientists now says IC 1101 is a lenticar galaxy (Type-cD galaxy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Type-cD_galaxy) now. (Wikipedia says; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IC_1101)

The current implementation of this galaxy is pretty simplistic. I'm not taking this detailed type into account at the moment.

...how did you do the galaxies?

The galaxies are based on images in the Universe Sandbox\media folder. I the height data is based on the color/brightness of the image and is only representative and not totally accurate.
