If any of you don't know what installation 04 is, here is what it is. Installation 04 is one of the halo's of the halo array. Built by forerunners to study the parasitic species called the flood. In the human covenant war of the 26th century, a UNSC ship, the Pillar of Autumn crashed onto the ring. A team of UNSC marines including the Pillar of Autumns Captain, Captain Keyes, found a flood research facility. They got into the room where they were attacked by the flood. John-117 (aka Master Chief) found a marines helmet. Inside was a video chip that showed John what had happened. Then he was attacked. He luckily escaped and was taken by 343 Guilty spark to a 'Library' to retrieve the index. They then teleported to Installation 04's control room where they were stopped by Cortana, the Pillar of Autumns AI (artificial intelligence) and 343 Guilty spark and his sentinels turned against John and Cortana. They both de-activate 3 fusion cores in the snowy canyons. They then returned to a flood-overran Truth and Reconciliation, a covenant cruiser at a canyon. Cortana and John both teleported inside near the control room where Captain Keyes was stuck to a Proto-gravemind. When John reached Captain Keyes, he had been assimilated by the proto-gravemind and John had to punch his skull for his neural implants, of which had the code to override the Pillar of Autumns fusion engines, which would ultimately end up in installation 04's destruction. 343 Guilty spark stops the countdown to destruction leaving Cortana and John to manually destroy the engines. They escape and when the reach an external platform, Echo 419 or foehammer, was shot down by two covenant banshee's. They escape in a fighter and then the ship explodes. The shockwaves tear apart installation 04 and chunks of it go flying into other bits of the ring. That is installation 04 and what happened during the human covenant war.
