[INFO] Game Crashes after 100% Organics
« on: September 24, 2014, 04:54:15 AM »
When I turn the Organics property of a planet to the highest, my computer shuts down. I'm wondering whether on other computers, this crashes the game. Any crash within a game can cause my computer to become crazy.

So, I make a random planet and I turn the Organics up to 100%. That's how to make the bug.

Random objects are very messed up ATM.

It begs me to wonder why this isn't prioritized.

Thanks for reporting, but I'm not able to reproduce this on my system.

Please share your crash dump file so we can take a look at what's happening. Instructions for finding crash dump file: http://universesandbox.com/forum/index.php/topic,12458.0.html

Since I have both the x64 version and x32 bit version so I'll post both files.

It seems that the x32 bit version is the one that crashed and the x64 bit was cut off.

I checked into the logs, and the second one you posted is actually from a very old version of the game. I can see a crash in that log file there, and it's a known bug that should be fixed in the latest version.

The latest log file is pretty strange, it's just cutting out immediately. If the game is actually crashing out fully, there should be a crash dump folder located in the directory the game is installed to. The folders are labeled with the date of the crash and should have a few misc files in the directory.

You can use Steam to jump to the installation folder for you by right clicking the game in your steam library,  selecting properties, Local files tab, and then click "Browse Local Files".

I'd also try doing a complete re-install through steam by choosing the option "Delete Local Game Content", and the re-downloading a clean copy from steam. But, be sure to pull out the crash dump files if there are any first, as clearing the local content would erase them.

Thanks!
