Universe Sandbox | Discussion / Re: Highs and Lows Improvements

83 meters is not the maximum height. This only describes the difference between each step, so for example, one step is 0 meters or sea level, then going up it's 83 and then 166 meters above sea level, or going the other way it's 83 then 166 meters below sea level.

Universe Sandbox | Discussion / Re: Improved climate mode
« Last post by Cesare on September 02, 2019, 07:11:46 PM »
Yes, that's true. The water freezing glitch gets triggered even if climate mode or the calculated radius is turned off. Even if you set your planets temperature to 500 degrees celsius, the frozen glitch still makes water freeze on planets. That makes no sense. The frozen glitch is so annoying.

What I would like you to do is pass the word on and ask as many people as possible to report the frozen glitch. All users using Universe Sandbox must report the "frozen glitch" on the forum and also when you exist Universe Sandbox. Just keep on persisting on reporting this frozen glitch. This is one of the worst glitches in Universe Sandbox, so it must be fixed once it for all. Please keep reporting this "water freezing bug".

Thank you.

Universe Sandbox | Discussion / Re: I don't know if its a bug but...

Me too. I am patiently waiting for the release of planet grids and lasers. It should be out by October 2019, but let's face it folks. Let's wait and see, and be as patient as possible. You don't want developers to rush development and make more mistakes and bugs. Let them develop each feature slowly, bit at a time, then lets embrace brand new features which will soon come to life in Universe Sandbox.

If you want to have a particular feature released, please request it in the forum. Many thanks.

I have already suggested weather systems for improved climate mode for rocky planets. The simulation of storms, tornadoes, hurricanes, and lightning would be amazing to simulate in Universe Sandbox. The sound of lightning storms would need to be simulated both physically and also by sound. That is the sound of lighting when lightning bolts clashes into each other.

Volcanic eruptions are also another great feature to simulate lava pools and rivers, plus growing and disappearing volcanoes must be simulated with time steps as well. That is something that Universe Sandbox absolutely needs to have as a new feature for rocky planet. When volcanoes erupt under water, Universe Sandbox must have suitable physics that can simulate the growth of underwater formations growing and cracks appearing when magma leaks out from those growing cocoons of lava.

There are still many features relating to rocky planets that must be simulated into Universe Sandbox, because current features are not enough. Progress so far has been great for developers, but I want to be able to simulate everything that can exist on terrestrial planets such as different weather systems and volcanic eruptions of magma, ice and smoke like black smokers.

Universe Sandbox | Discussion / Re: Bubbles

Physical nebulas would be very ideal to make. Bubbles are needed in Universe Sandbox because they look amazing and their physics characteristics would bring Universe Sandbox to a whole new level. Also balloons have their own physics when they pop, so adding balloons that you can blow using a pump in Universe Sandbox would bring something entirely new and interesting for balloon enthusiasts.

Well, I am aware of the 83 meters limit because I have read about the heightmap in DevLog #9. Just read DevLog #9 to understand and learn more about planet grids.

I didn't know about the 83 meters limit, but I'm sure that will be solved soon, hopefully...

Bubbles are fun to blow up. What I mean is soap bubbles. I have this very cool idea that Universe Sandbox could simulate bubbles in space. Please create a new physics system so that users can blow up bubbles with soap pipes and even make bubbles orbit each other or even orbit planets.

The colors of bubbles as well as their wall thicknesses must also be simulated in the new physics system of Universe Sandbox. Universe Sandbox must be capable of simulating anything that is spherical, such as balls, balloons and any other human spherical objects. Please make it possible to blow and simulate bubbles in Universe Sandbox by creating a new physics system for bubble simulations.

Well, honestly I preffer they to make phisical nebulas and not only for backgrounds xD
