Title: Cannot succsefully update to USB 2.2

I first installed Universe sandbox 2.1.5 last year.  When I updated it though, to USB 2.2, the installation worked fine, but when I tried to run the program, the black opening screen shows up for a fraction of a second and then disappears.  I used the older start up files to restore the program back to 2.1.5, but how can I stop this failed updating?
