...Ok writing this is probably a bit pointless since I play on the Norwegian 3x speed server, southeastern map quadrant (capital Sovkagrad at (-16|-65)), and I haven't yet found a way to change language in-game (which means I play in Norwegian), so I'm not sure you would be very amused of joining there unless you really like Google Translate. Or Norwegian.
Anyway it's a suspiciously nice game that you potentially may want to play.

It has different spelling and stuff, plus slightly different grammar it seems, and a very differen accent. I can't speak or write Norwegian, but I can understand almost all of what I read and well enough to play mostly without trouble.

I mean, no not really. It's sort of like Astro Empires or if you know Age of Empires slightly like that, just online, hard to explain if you don't play a lot of strategy games. But the strategy is much deeper than Empire Attack and it's not repetitive in that way. It is addictive though, and I expect that it will consume my attention for most of this vacation.

We could call it something like Red Union. I don't think they could punish us from such a vague name. But other ideas are welcome.

Nice, and yes, gauls/galler is best for new players I think, this is also my first game. They are the most defensive.

Hm, if you have 62 phalanxes I think you will win. If you have no resources they can take, they probably just haven't even scouted your village. It would be pointless to attack 62 phalanxes without being able to get anything. How many traps do you have?

I suggest you upgrade your hidden storage in the future. But if you have less than 340 of all resources when they attack, you won't lose any. If they defeat your troops, they will destroy your traps, though.

I recommend you release the troops you trapped from your rally point so that you can use the traps in the next attacks.
And got 3 xp from the second attack. Seems like you get 1 xp for every enemy unit killed.

Unfortunately - for me - I only Play Games if I can really "get into" them - that is, sort of believe in it as an Alternative Reality, at least whilst playing it.
Trouble is - being Retired, and spending all of my free time on the P.C. - these Games sort of take over my life, and I start to "live" them.
Then when you have spent like 200 Hours, 2 Months, building up your Cities or whatever - someone Declares War on you, and starts smashing them up, or stealing them.
VERY disheartening !!
Then - you work hard to build up your Alliance, Recruit Players, form Treaties with other Alliances try to make your Alliance and yourself "safe" in the Alternative World.
Suddenly - People leave, join another Alliance - become your Enemies, Attack you.
Or - Other Alliances break Treaties, start Attacking you, or other Players in your Alliance.
Just me -
The REAL WORLD is not a Fair Place - that is bad enough.
But WHY would I want to devote a lot of time and effort to an Alternative World, which is even MORE UNFAIR.
Eventually - I have to leave these Games - it all gets too much for me.
Because I CARE - about my own position - about others, Friends in the same Alliance.
If I did not Care - why would I even bother to Play these Games - War and Destruction are NOT Fun for me.
Working for a long time, to have it all smashed up - is NOT Fun for me.
So - Have your FUN, Good People.
I will just have to avoid them like the Plague.

I'd say keep the book of widsom. You never know when you might change something, then again, how common is the book of widsom? Haven't gotten any scrolls yet.

I used it to get the extra plus days and I just haven't bought more.
I have one gold because I had used up 4 early on, later one of the tasks gave me more gold, but I ended up with 19, so I used 10 of it to boost the number of days and used up the rest to speed up building.

Mainly because I upgraded the crops towards level 5 first since I ended up having to keep upgrading crops further. I AM working on upgrading the level three plots, just takes time.

Not sure I really want to play because as soon as the beginners protection wears off, they're likely to mob me.
At this point, you're basically either in a strong alliance or a farm, the game even ENCOURAGES farming other people.

Btw, Hellpotatoe, if you actually try to stop the attacks, they'll realize you mean business and don't want to be farmed, and most people will stop. The others you just have to treat nice and make huge troop numbers and defeat them. I want you back on com9 so we can build a huge army, get it all in one city, and finally defeat those motherfuckers aragh.sagi and kolake.

I've grabbed some wild animal reinforcements which will certainly help.
Edit: Building crannies to deny them the loot will also help.
