Everyone should praise me for the cold hard winters we have to face here in the true north!
Just for the record it dropped to -36C and windchill of -45C at 8am, lowest temperatures in a while.

Ew why would he want to...
-
Here we get a 35 ºC with Wind Chill/Thermal Sensation of 45-50 ºC

That's why I can get protective winter clothes so I won't freeze to death in the outdoors. :P
If I had a choice to live in Libya or Ontario, Ontario is the way to go!

True north. Do you even Norway

GRRRRRRRRRRRR
-31,2°C is apparently the coldest weather temperature measured in Denmark.1 (http://www.dmi.dk/dmi/index/danmark/meteorologiske_ekstremer_i_danmark.htm) Idk the coldest chill index. Meh.
I'm going to become a homeless, beardy guy somewhere in the Russian taiga and punch trees and build things hundreds of kilometers away from where humanity has ever walked anyway. I will beat your chill index record sooner or later.

Yes you will have to. Thunder Bay has the record for the coldest windchill in Ontario, -58C back in the 1980s.

I forgot to take a picture of it (what a noob) but at the peak of this front, we got down to -53C windchill. Looks like we beat the measly -45C. :P It's not as cold as it was (the temperature), only got down to about -32C, but the wind was quite strong overnight.
School wasn't canceled, nothing changed other than a field trip to a ski hill got moved to after the cold spell.
We haven't had a day above -20C in a little over 3 weeks, excited for it to be over because they are forecasting nearly 0C this weekend :O I'll miss it in Toronto though. :P
-
it was 50 c
i mean f for me

Oh dear.
We have had the pleasure of a pretty much ice-free winter so far, only a few days with slightly slippery spots and tiny layers of snow that melted but really not a problem, the temperature has been stable at about 5 deg C over the past month or so.
...I MEAN I await February as the hopeful return of snowstorms, perpetual darkness and temperatures well below -200 deg C, if it happens, I'll become homeless and very beardy indeed, and live in the wild forests, with my backpack!
-
-53C and you still had school what the Christ.
-
Windchill, not actual temperature, but it appears to be equivalent to what it would feel like if there were no wind.

At extremely low temperatures, ice becomes diamonds. Tru stroy.
-
actually tru story because wasser molecules rearrange themselves around -100C
-
at extremely low temperatures hydrogen can into liquid
-
dry ice is like -76C
just a bit more and you'll start exhaling carbon dioxide fragments
-
at no temperatures can helium into solid
