Unl0cker has created an amazing collection of Universe Sandbox simulations, textures, models, and videos.

Simulations include a 3 stage orbit assist, interesting ring manipulations, and a star cannon.

Not really Tuto. I made all the sims, and videos, some of the textures, but the models are mostly Sol Command's creation.

The heliosphere here is divided into two groups and is very faint and made by very small particles.
         
So this works best if you set the lighting of the stars background to 0.15.

I overhauled the dust of some build in simulations:


I recommend unchecking the Trails option and checking Show Bodies at Actual Size for a better view.

Kol, batata.
I'm using a laptop/notebook (idk teh right name) from my school. It can't even run 3d programs, even basic ones. But i don't have "infinite" acess to it. Probably tomorrow my mother will give it back to the school, and I will have to use a VERY basic computer, that is even worse than this one (and it dont have access to wi-fi, so nothing of neighbour internet :P)

I have plenty of those already. I'm working with some planet models with realistic surfaces now.

But I'm curious now, what's a "mac"?

Mac = different operating system, really expensive because you have to get the computer with the OS and you can't add different OS's on to it unlike with a PC.

I know what a Macintosh is. I own 3... Unlike you believe, you can load any pc compatible os in it! I have a x4 boot in my lappy: windoze, osx,  gentoo and freebsd.

What I wanted to know was about the joke, I did not understood as it seemed to be a "private" joke.

If the planet's orbit is stable? Well I ran the first one for about 1 hour and it looks pretty stable, it is actually the sharpest knife in this "drawer".

The others look stable but I did not test them. Don't mess too much with the time-step else... the chessboard man will come and eat your liver.

More particle simulations.

This one is a huge particle grid for general simulation purposes. I've stitched 9 (multiplier factor=25)
grids  into one single mesh.  The dust file has about 1.5 million lines, that's 214.3 thousand particles.

So it's Kinda heavy. Added also a rectangular cube also for general simulation purposes.

Just to ask - I Downloaded EVERY one of the first Group of Textures by Unlocker ( the Library which Dan Linked to ).

Also - I Downloaded EVERY one of FiahOwl's Tectures - a couple of Months back.

You sir, (unl0cker), have made my life most complete by adding space ships and etc. This will be WAYYY better than Google Sketch-up. One suggestion. Could you please add the ships and things from Halo? Maybe a Forerunner shield planet? The Ark and the Halo installations? Pleaseiez? That would make this even better, because it would complete the SiFi feel!  ;D Please consider!


P.S. Like my name? Hmmm... Pulled it out of my head. Can't tell I like Portal and Portal 2 can you? He He  :P

I'm glad I made someone happy. That paid the effort to put that together. Anyway, I did not made all those models, I simply edit them for US. When I got the chance I'll look for those and add them.

To use the models you should place the .dds (textures) .jpg (textures) and the .x (models) in the YOUR_USER\Documents\Universe Sandbox\Media folder.

Then inside the game in the TExture/Model boxes type the name of the file you want.
