Post by: Arata on October 05, 2009, 05:20:16 PM
I know the milky ways a barred spiral, but what type of barred spiral? Does it have a normal sized bars, with four arms beginning at the bar, or is it an extreme, with a massive bar than has only two arms?
I'm really confused.

Here are some photos.
What one mostly looks like our milky way?  ??? ??? ???
I think it's a, M83.
