There's this interesting political spectrum test I was shown. It's 53 questions, but it only takes about 5 to 10 minutes.

Click here to take it. (http://www.gotoquiz.com/politics/political-spectrum-quiz.html)

Post your results so we can compare!

My Results:
You are a left moderate social authoritarian.
   Left: 3.85, Authoritarian: 1.8

Foreign Policy: - 4.88 (non-interventionalist)
Culture: -1.57 (cultural liberal)

I didn't realize that I was in fact quite a bit of a socialist.  ;D

Nop, I'm just a Kommunisht. :P

There was one question which I stumbled at... I think it was something like "competition drives people to invent many new things", where I answered no, even though I meant yes. I just don't think competition is needed for it, but I think the spectrum would move me to the right for answering yes, which just wouldn't make sense, because just because I acknowledge that competition can drive people to invent stuff doesn't mean I'm in favor if it in any way.

But I think it is very important whether it does that. The driving force behind an economy is extremely important. :P
I chose "very important" on almost all of the questions, kol... Maybe 3-5 where I didn't.

Ikr... I was insecure and in denial about myself and everything. I remember someone at school asking me "is there death penalty for being gay in Blaland?" or something similar, and I would say "yes".
I wasn't into nazism or religion or anything, I've always been against that... Although the above does actually sound completely insane and nazi. Well, I was never into racism or antisemitism or killing handicapped people or gypsies or any other minority. I don't think I actually meant that gays should be killed either.

And anything before around 2006 is purely family influence.

It's really hard to remember how my views and stuff were years ago. But some years ago I had no (or denied) any feeling of solidarity towards other people and didn't consider equality a value. Not for any rational reason, but probably because I was insecure. Very stupid, I know.

Kipz, is your spectrum serious? :P Because I wouldn't guess that.

My political views were neutral until you converted me to where I am now.
If you look at this for example:
http://yoursolarsystem.wikia.com/index.php?title=Empire_:_ASSU&oldid=8182 (http://yoursolarsystem.wikia.com/index.php?title=Empire_:_ASSU&oldid=8182)

"The USAE is a Capitalist interstellar empire."

That was from November. Well, you can be a leftist capitalist, but then I don't think you would describe your empire as being "capitalist". And empires don't really sound leftist at all. :P

Of course you know more about your views than I do, but I just don't think you sounded like that when you joined.

Christian conservative capitalist.

You can't say the general American hates communism because they don't know what it is and then calls themselves neutral/a centrist.

My political spectrum

Compass:
You are a center-left moderate social libertarian.
Left: 2.61, Libertarian: 1.9

Foreign Policy:
On the left side are pacifists and anti-war activists. On the right side are those who want a strong military that intervenes around the world. You scored: -5.2

Culture:
Where are you in the culture war? On the liberal side, or the conservative side? This scale may apply more to the US than other countries. You scored: -2.84

This is probably not too accurate, because some of the questions were confusing.

critique on some of the questions:

Minority groups that have faced discrimination should receive help from the state to get on an equal footing.

this one was a bit misleading. if policies like affirmative action really helped everyone get on an equal footing as this question suggests, i might be fore them. however i doubt aid is perfectly computed to give everyone an equal chance so i can't support this.

It makes sense and is fair that some people make much more money than others.

fair is pretty easy to answer, but sense is an abstract concept. it might be sensical that the universe happened and it might be sensical that it didn't. is quantum tunneling sensical? i can't rate sense so i can't rate sense and fair by logic.

The state should not set a minimum wage.

'should' is a bad word. should leaves many ambiguities. if the goal is to maximize equality, maybe a minimum wage is good. if the goal maximize equality, minimum wage is bad. what the goal of society is is an inanswerable question best left for philosophy compasses

the constructivism/essentialism binary is about your opinions on gender and sexuality, constructivism holds that they aren't real in the way biological things are real but only in the way social things are real, and essentialism holds that they are real in the way biological things are
