THe next update will probably be mostly UI update.

i realy can't wait until the new version is released! ;D
can we have a sneek preview?! please!?

This would require .NET 4 to run the next update

no, just a screen shot or somthing

Dan said it the next version does need Net.4 if it has MultiCore Processing

The next release of Universe Sandbox will not need .NET 4 (especially since .NET 4 hasn't been released yet).
The multi-core release won't be until later this year at the earliest. This version will need .NET 4.

can we have a sneek preview?! please!?
I'll post a "sneek preview" screenshot of the new UI in the next week or so.
I'm really excited about it and I look forward to sharing this with everyone.

will some programs and some may be incompatible if i buy a multicore processor
then what happens if i have no multicore processing and i upgrade to .net 4.

No.
(I don't know of any examples of normal programs not being able to run on a multi-core processor.)
what happens if i have no multicore processing and i upgrade to .net 4.
Short Answer
You won't be able to tell any difference.
Long Answer
.NET 4 simply allows the developer to add multi-core support.
Here's an example of how it works:
If the program is looping through each planet/body and calculating the forces on each it might look like this:
For each Body
Calculate the forces on the Body
Next Body
If you had 4 bodies (Earth, Moon, Jupiter, Sun) the program would take 4 steps to complete this:
Step 1 - Calculate the forces on Earth
Step 2 - Calculate the forces on Moon
Step 3 - Calculate the forces on Jupiter
Step 4 - Calculate the forces on Sun
The awesome advantage of .NET 4 is that the developer (me) can easily take the 4 steps and spread the tasks across as many processors as you have.
If you have 2 processors it would be able to process 2 steps at once:
Processor 1
Step 1 - Calculate the forces on Earth
Step 2 - Calculate the forces on Jupiter
Processor 2
Step 1 - Calculate the forces on Moon
Step 2 - Calculate the forces on Sun
If you had 4 processors (and 4 tasks) it could calculate all the forces simultaneously.
Processor 1
Step 1 - Calculate the forces on Earth
Processor 2
Step 1 - Calculate the forces on Jupiter
Processor 3
Step 1 - Calculate the forces on Moon
Processor 4
Step 1 - Calculate the forces on Sun
And if you only have a single processor it will just step through each body on the single processor taking 4 steps.

-
but my other question is: how do you maked Universe Sandbox?! with a Program?! or C++?!
Universe Sandbox is written in a managed .NET language (aka C#).
http://www.microsoft.com/exPress/
It uses the Truevision3D engine (a wrapper for Direct X) for graphics.
http://www.truevision3d.com/
And the nUI interface library.

I'll post a screenshot of the new simulation panel later this week.
-
again, almost a week over, and no screenshots :(

Does Dan owe you something?
(maybe Dan should put a prize tag for each feature and only release versions according to payments :))

Whats wrong with being enthusiastic about his app?
And your suggestion is just, blasphemy..

Nothing wrong with enthusiasm, but reading this thread reminds me of driving my sisters' kids to see grandma: "Are we there yet? Are we there yet?". ;)
Also the general tone appears demanding, which to me, appears just rude.
Dan has provided an excellent (also addictive ;)) software for us to play with, but I don't see anywhere on his site that he's promised us any new versions for free - only that by buying his software we're encouraging further development. That does not mean he is compelled to provide us any updates for free and certainly not that we have any rights to demand one.
Besides, it has been only, what? ~4 months since last release? Is that version so broken it is not usable?
Look, if you really want an update with some definite features and feel you have the right to demand for it, better prepare to cough up the dough too - no-one has to (or likes to) work for free and many have families to feed too.
For the record, I'm also eager to see what the new version will bring, but I trust Dan will release more info when he's ready to do so and not before, no matter how much we bitch and moan. Although, Dan seems to be the kind of guy who is enthusiastic to show his work to others, so it probably won't be long when we see something new. ;)

Does Dan owe you something?
yes
he promised to put the screenshots here, 2 weeks ago >:(
-
yes
Really? How much did you pay?
-
I'm sure there is a reason why he hasn't posted them. hint hint: maybe they look like crap
Give Dan his time and you'll be more impressed.

I wish I could give you a thumbs up for that post like for comments on YouTube.

That was in no intention to call Dan's work crap. I'm just saying that everybody needs time to make things well. The more time you apply the better it will be.

Again same thing I said above!

Nods.

Also true.
maybe they look like crap
Definitely true. Most programs do in the early stages. And no offense taken.
(maybe Dan should put a prize tag for each feature and only release versions according to payments :))
Unfortunately money (and thus time) are constraining factors on the speed of updates. If someone has even a few thousands dollars they'd like to invest... The next update will come faster.
