Watch this!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVhggGSjXVg!
:o :o :o :o :o
Isn't it fantastic? A headset which costs 299$ (there are even cheaper ones (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_consumer_brain-computer_interface_devices)), that can READ YOUR BRAIN and use those thoughts in the computer, in games!
It is fantastic what Technology Science continues to bring us... ;D
Here is the Wikipedia article about the headset in the video:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emotiv_Systems
The official website:
http://www.emotiv.com/
And their YouTube page:

Another video about the headset (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E66tuKQAMcU)
"You think, therefore you can." :P
You can find more pages about the Technology and similar headsets in related pages, internal Wikipedia links etc.
Edit: Hmm, 299$ is a bit I know... There's one that costs 100$, but only has 1 electrode instead of 14. But compared to medical electroencephalography (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Electroencephalography) machines, which cost tens of thousands of dollars, it's cheap. :P

Yeah that is pretty awesome!!
-
Pretty awesome? I don't believe these are real.
Hmm, after some thought, these are real.
-
Well, why shouldn't they? ;D It's not like our mind is somehow seperated from our physical brains, like if we had a "soul" or something, that was our mind which had nothing to do with our physical body... ;D :P
Well, you don't need to think, you can watch the video. But I guess you did, and anyways, you concluded they were real... :P
In fact, this technology has been available for one or two years I think, and even longer at the insane price used in hospitals... I wonder why I hadn't read anything about it before it was posted on a video blog.

It would find all kinds of gibberish in my brain. ::)
-
Haha. :)
I think it could be very interesting to have it, not just to be able to control something with your brain, but maybe you could learn to control your thoughts more precisely somehow, or learn how to imagine things (like "zoom"). :P

Now where is the machine where i put a DVD in it and strap it to my head, then when i sleep, i dream of being any charechter i want in the movie? :P we aint that far yet i'm guessing?
-
That would be transferring data into your brain. It's not impossible, as some people have artificial eyes, legs etc. which are connected to the nerve cells in your body...
But what should the DVD be connected to... You'll have to be able to disconnect it again.
I think.
