Title: Simulate The Birth of Planetary Systems
Post by: Cesare on January 19, 2018, 03:23:35 PM
It would be such a wonderful thing to have such an epic feature in Universe Sandbox 2 that allows users to create their own custom simulations that allows them to simulate the birth of planetary system. I hope that the developers shall soon add fluid dynamics in Universe Sandbox 2 which will allow users to model a gas cloud collapsing and spinning up (due to conservation of angular momentum) flattening out to a disk and condensing into lumps of material, i.e. planets.

The growing lumps would gradually grow into rocks, asteroids and then into planets. I would really like to be able to create my custom planets like this. That would involve the create of custom made terrestrial planets, gas giants and stars.

Please make it possible to grow planets in Universe Sandbox 2 by adding fluid dynamics in Universe Sandbox 2 to simulate the birth of solar systems, terrestrial planets, gas giants and stars.

I hope that the birth of stars and planets would become possible in the near future.

SPH is already planned and that will allow for this.

I hope that Update 21 will implement the ability to simulate a gas disk simulating the birth of stars and planets. Fluid dynamics is something that I hope will become in Update 21 or in Update 22.
