Title: New version of OpenGL
Post by: Cesare on December 14, 2017, 02:59:44 PM
We all know that OpenGL is used as an engine for making Universe Sandbox 2 work, function and develop.

I would like the developers making Universe Sandbox 2 to either use the latest version of OpenGL or use a much better engine if possible.

This would really help in the continuous process of developing Universe Sandbox 2 without having as many bugs and glitches as there are now.

The latest version of OpenGL is OpenGL 4.6. Please read this page on Wikipedia here to learn more: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenGL#OpenGL_4.6

Please make some research if it is possible for using a better engine than OpenGL for continuing the development of Universe Sandbox 2.

Universe Sandbox ² is being built with the Unity3D game engine, with custom shaders and custom physics: https://unity3d.com/

Unity makes use of both DirectX (default for Windows) and OpenGL (default for Mac and Linux) to render graphics.

Cesare the person you just told to read about Unity3D is a developer of Universe Sandbox 2. I think he's done his research  :P
