Ah come on, there are basket balls in the game. Why not stir your cup of coffee a little bit and add in nuclear missiles/bombs? Just imagine launching them towards the Earth or Moon and zooming in to see the blast.. and add an option to increase the blast radius or implement different sized nuclear missiles. Would be insanely cool, especially if you made it viewable from on top of the planet (first-person perspective) and see it's cool animation, but optionally cool. What do you think? Come on, add more sugar to the coffee.

This is a gravity/physic's simulator, the reason there are basketballs in the sim is for size comparison.

also nuclear explosions are insignificant compared to asteroids. even the chelyabinsk meteor (expected to be about 20 m in diameter) exploded with the equivalent energy of a 500 kiloton bomb. adding nukes would be pretty underwhelming when there is already much more firepower available, i mean think of the scales we're talking about in universe sandbox... nuclear weapons are human scaled, not space scaled

i think if they would add some thing like this the closest thing would be the V-2

There are better things to focus on

How would they be animated in outer space though?

Exactly how?
The explosions would be tiny and barely visible, they're unnecessary, a waste of time and honestly pretty silly. Basketballs and bowling balls and stuff are there because it's a gravity/physic's simulator like Angel Armageddon said. You need them for size comparison which is imo more interesting than seeing some nuclear missiles with pathetic sized explosions.
