Title: Why would the sun supernova?
Post by: scruffygamer on August 07, 2015, 09:41:01 PM
Okay. This may sound confusing to some of you.

But IRL, the sun doesn't supernova. It's too small. It only expands and then just ejects all of it's gas leaving a white dwarf.

In US2, all stars supernova! Every single one no matter what happens and then creates a black hole.

When I collide a sun it supernovas.

IRL it would probably create a big gas explosion. But nowhere near as violent as a supernova.

Supernovas are very much a work in progress at the moment. We don't have all the different types of Supernova variants added to the game yet, and they trigger in some cases where it's hard to define what would actually happen. We'll keep working on them to improve the behavior.
