I was playing with moon orbits to see how many axis's I could get going in a stable orbit. the button to make everything obrit its parent tends to make objects not on a single plane to crash into the parent, so I was resorting to kick the moons manually in the aproxamate direction and velocity to give it an orbit. while mucking about I accidentally hit the orbit parent for system, and it collapsed the orbits down to plane of rotation for the planet. 2 of the moons got caught in a binary rotation in the orbit of the planet, looks kinda neat. so i deleted the other moons and saved the system.

Try clicking auto system under system commands

thats wat happened to me :D

Very cool... Gravity just does stuff like that. :)
And don't forget about the R key (or from the control panel under System Commands: Reverse All Velocities). It inverses all of the velocities (making everything move backwards). It's almost like reversing time.
