Randall Munroe, the genius behind http://www.xkcd.com/ (http://www.xkcd.com/), once received a question from one of his readers about...well, I'll just let you read it and save myself the trouble of explaining. Don't worry, I'll wait here for you.

Okay, now that you're done, I'll get to the point: I want to be able to recreate this and produce those results. I realize this would be quite a ways down the road, and it isn't at all necessary for the proper operation of the simulator, but it would still be cool.

Love Randall XD
ok what is the next part, screenshots, videos ?
Or help with doing the simulation :I ?

No, I've simulated something close to what is in the blog post. I couldn't get the carbon sphere's properties quite right, since carbon isn't included in the materials list. If I recall, the density and the radius were off, but the mass and the velocity were accurate to the 25th decimal (why not?). My problem is with the result, which was
almost, but not quite pretty much entirely unlike the "What If?" result.
EDIT: I just did it again with a (heavily) modified bowling ball and was able to get every property exactly as it needed to be.
