If you already own Universe Sandbox ², just run Steam to update to the latest version.

Or you can buy Universe Sandbox ² here:
http://universesandbox.com/buy/

What's new?
- Most collisions now resolve over multiple frames instead of over a single frame
- Visual improvements to collision glow and crater size

Complete List of Updates (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1TTsJL-ddM_i5RjfnQV5_R-hocRCin6hxAiCuVlytRtA/edit#heading=h.163gqkew9axy)

Let us know what you think! And please report any problems either via the in game feedback tool or by starting a new thread...

That was fast.

Did you guys check out those cases I reported earlier today where sometimes in a collision, one of the bodies will start rotating impossibly fast? There was also one about value out of bounds and trying to make something denser than the universe squeezed down to a planck length sphere. Something to do with ice I think..... Just wondering if you dealt with that in alpha 10 .

Wow! The versions are being released quickly! I'm glad to see all that efficiency

edit: Not trying to sound mean but this seems much more like an Alpha 9.3 than Alpha 10, but who cares about the name... The updates are very frequent!

Yes. It should be fixed in the next release.

Earth is 851878.C after a collision with a similar mass body.. Is that possible?

There are lots of problems with the heat simulation at the moment.

You buy this online. It's not currently on Steam (yet =P), and I don't know were you can buy it. I've heard about it being on Amazon.com, but here's link to buy it from here (most honorable buy): http://www.universesandbox.com/buy/

Okay cool, and the error generated about trying to make something denser than the universe's mass in a planck length sphere was odd. That'd be like, what, infinite density? The small (relative to Earth) impactor even managed to make Earth do that.

It looks good, but it doesn't seem like there was much effort in it. All you did was copy paste some text over someone else's image. Speaking of which, did you even have permission to use it? That image BELONGS to Hyperion. It'd be disrespectful to pass it off as your own, especially only light editing was applied.

There are so many problems with temperatures that I can't even bother to report every single one...

No. The image does not belong to Hyperion.

Umm... one bug i found - i just can't change temperature. When i'm want to change temperature to 14 for example, it changes temperature to -273.

Yeah, just report what bugs you can, pretty sure the team is aware of all those heat related problems.

As for that art image, I haven't seen Hyperions origional, but I agree with xriqua here, credit still should be given if it isn't your own screenshot.

Galaxies just seem to dissolve when colliding. Are those still under development?

We've kind of been neglecting galaxies... but we'll switch our focus back to them in a future update.

I think we better hope for more accurate physics with greater possibilities than top-notch graphics, the current visual level already amazes me. All we really need is some damn realistically looking rings, the shadows on them make it all glorious enough

Great news. If galaxies become anywhere near as good as planets already are, they should be wonderful.

Despite the teething problems that are bound to come along with a new version (not to mention an alpha release) I feel Universe Sandbox is making major steps and becoming a lot more mature than the former version. That was supposed to happen, of course, but it is nice to see the hard work coming to fruition.

After the collision of an asteroid or planet and the like from another planet (for example), where there is water. Should in fact form a shock wave or a firestorm, tsunamis, tidal waves !!! For example here are the videos: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kECNdFCF5YY
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WxWHm8V4lZo

I love these things and I hope that all this will be implemented in the near

And yes, when will be 3d craters?

I also found a bug! When I reduced the temperature of the sun to -200, the earth at the same distance from the sun (about 150 million) quietly keeps the temperature (13-19 C), and should have long freeze. I even tried to speed up the time for the next 100 years, it's still the same temperature of the earth and remained !!!
