Title: Collision Bug?
Post by: blotz on August 14, 2014, 12:53:35 PM
When i collide 2 earths, they turn grey almost instantly and it's like they eat each other and combine and it turns bright orange instantly.
Maybe have them break? idk

If they combine together, the temperature will be about 500°C and the planet will be a magma rock planet.

We're working on improving the collisions. Earth vs Earth is one of the cases that doesn't work well. It's due to them being the same size, so the error margin's are very low, especially for direct head one collisions.

The next revision of collisions should be a good improvement.

I can confirm this. Launching earth at another earth does cause some weird effects. Mostly, for me, earth just warps through the other and continues like nothing happened, but the launched earth does become molten after impact.
