What's with you guys and asking people to lock threads seriouslyOkay that's a pet-peeve of mine there, Please DO NOT link my action's,or statement's with anyone else i'm not them nor are my reasoning's the same and if ya payed attention to what i was saying it was of some importance to the new 50 tester's, i was asking if this post can be lock so people wont have to go finding it in the ocean of thread's >:( ALSO i made a mistake and used the wrong word i ment to pin the post not lock it away
I don't get the appeal tbh. there's nothing that really comes with it. you just have to deal with people's nonsense all the time. where's the fun in that? I guess everybody wants some 'prestige' even if it's not really real. lol.What's with you guys and asking people to lock threads seriouslybackseat moderators everywhere, yo.
it's why there are rules against it at every other forum ever. backseat mods don't think actual moderators are capable of their own jobs. conversely, if you left a forum to a backseat moderator, you'd have dozens of locked threads on any first page.
I've been administrating forums for 15 years off and on, I've seen it over and over again. somehow a backseat mod becomes an actual one and then everything gets so bad they have to be demoted – usually very quickly.
I have no doubt every one of these people wants to be a moderator and uses these little suggestions as ways to say "look at me! I'm good at upholding order! promote me!"
oh well. :-\
Yeah, I remember when I wanted to be a mod. (Well, I'd be up for it right now if someone offered me but I'm not concerned with that because all hail Bla) Like these people, there was pretty much zero chance I'd be accepted. Oh well, it's something you learn to get over I guess.
