What do you mean?

The in Alpha 5, the only lighting change is so that it "correctly" falls off the further you are for the light source. Can you explain further?

The lighting in Alpha 5 is more realistic.
Georg removed the artifical rim light, which looked nice but was completely unrealistic.
So yeah, it looks less cinematic, but its also much closer to reality now.
Also multiple light sources and light falloff now work as intended.

I like the new lighting system a lot in fact. Though, I can see Venus's surface now. XD

Seeing Venus' surface is because of the in-progress atmospheres and separate from the new lighting... known issues (but thanks for pointing it out anyway).
