Just wanted to let everyone know that I've been hard at work on a new version.
The October Update will include these new features: - Text search feature (just type in Sun to fly to the sun) - Really small systems - Dice orbiting a pool ball in orbit around a bowling ball (and it's all to scale) - Line up bodies in order by mass or diameter with a single click - 80+ constellations (instead of just 2) - Improved star database (subtle improvement) - Very experimental (and currently very limited) ability to tether objects together with carbon nano-tubes (huge springs/cables)
This version will also fix a number of issues and bugs including the low quality star background that some people are seeing and the broken mouse wheel scrolling of the system list.
This update is taking a bit longer than I intended (if only because I keep adding features), but I expect this to be the last major release before I begin the UI overhaul and I want it to be a good one. I expect to release the new version by October 20th.
Thanks again to everyone that's purchased. It's so appreciated.

How about Earth and Moon tied up by the nano-tubes? :p Is the nano-tube string supposed to break?

Yes. My plan for that feature is that ultimately you'll be able to connect anything together: the Earth and the Moon, Jupiter and the Sun, even Galaxies. It's not realistic, but I've enjoyed experimenting with that I've got working so far.

Connect the galaxies like they do in real life. Now that's great. I tried to do it with the current software, but no luck. Is the update free of charge? I am asking just to double check.

Yes, the update is free. There's no cost for the update. I'm not sure the springs/cable feature will be working for galaxies in the next update, but that is eventually the plan. That feature is still very experimental.

In the final testing in preparation for the release I've run into a few issues and have decided to delay the release in order to correct them. The October update will be released tomorrow, October 21.

You made me cry! Well, not really, but I'm really looking foward to it, and I'm happy you will release an update without serious issues! Good luck fixing them! (Woo, my first post)

I can't seem to find an auto-update feature in the software.

My apologizes to everyone.
I'm working on the update right now and promise not to have any more fun until I release it.
